Making money when you cannot work a traditional job is very difficult. Unfortunately, being chronically ill is also extremely expensive. One way that I have decided to make money is through affiliate programs! What are those? Well, by helping connect people to certain sites and products, I make a commission on any sales made using my link/code! This does not cost you any extra money, the company just gives me money due to increased customers and sales! Sometimes, you can even get a discount on the purchase (so using the code will actually save you money while I’m making some money). Please let me know about your experience with any of these products/services!
Disclaimer: I do make money if you make purchases by clicking link or using codes contained on this page! While I do make money on these products/services, I refuse to recommend something that I do not believe in. Unless otherwise noted, I have personally used these products/services and highly recommend them!
I have not personally tried this product yet, but it is highly recommended by many people in Chronic Illness Bloggers!
What is it?
It’s a drug free pain relief device. At first glance, you may think it’s similar to a TENS unit, but it really isn’t. You do not need electrodes, and you aren’t getting the zapping/tingling sensations that a TENS unit does. The Oska Pulse uses pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) to relieve pain, open capillaries to promote blood flow (essential for healing), and promote bone repair. Instead of temporary relief, it promotes the bodies natural healing process!

- Counting My Spoons (extremely thorough)
Discount Code & Affiliate Link
You can get $55 off your purchase (they’re a little pricey, but well worth it based on reviews) by using the code FLSSblog

The Republic of Tea
I am obsessed with tea! It’s actually pretty funny, because I used to despise it! Turns out, I hated it because I had only been exposed to one kind and it is pretty gross (in my opinion). Then, I started drinking Earl Grey at work when I worked in retail because it could get freezing cold in the store in the winter. One of my good friends that I met at school then wanted to start having tea dates, which was a lot of fun and I got to experience even more tea! When I was making Christmas cookies at a friends house, I had an amazing cup of cardamom cinnamon tea, and decided to look up the company because it was delicious and I wanted more! That’s how I discovered my absolute favorite company to get my tea from!!!
The Republic of Tea feels very “small company,” which is great, and they’re very active and interested in all their social media. They’re also a very eco-conscious company, ensuring fair trade, organic, Rainforest Alliance (etc) certifications when applicable, and they use the leftover tea bag paper for packaging material! (The paper that the tea bags are punched out of.) The tea bags are also biodegradable and actually make fabulous compost for gardens (either compost them, or just bury them in your garden). I love that they’re such a friendly company! You can read more about all the charities they support and the certifications they have here.
They just started a referral and loyalty rewards program! For signing up for the program, you will get 200 tea leaf points (when you get 500 points you get to choose a free, full size tin of tea from ten of their most popular teas). You also get 10 points per dollar of each purchase! Those points can add up very quickly!
Sign up and let me know what your favorite tea is!
